Why we made it

Tuition Log was built by a family of tutors. We all had our own way of keeping track of students. One of us used Word documents. One relied on WhatsApp messages and had to scroll back every week. One used scribbles in a notebook.

It worked, but only just.

Tutors, teachers, coaches and trainers often keep important details scattered across these systems, or worse, entirely in their heads. The difficult part isn't the teaching—it is remembering what happened last time, what needs doing next, and what needs following up.

The problem

What Tuition Log does

We built Tuition Log to fix this workflow. You write one rough note, and the system automatically:

Who it is for

If you work with the same learners or clients repeatedly, Tuition Log is for you. This includes:

What makes it different

Tuition Log is intentionally lightweight, rather than a large corporate CRM. It is designed for quick notes, not lengthy admin forms. It helps organise what the professional already knows, without trying to replace professional judgement or send automatic messages on your behalf.

Not a worksheet or content machine

Tuition Log is not designed to generate endless teaching materials. There are already good resources out there. Instead, it helps users remember what resources were used, what worked, and what should happen next.

Less unpaid admin

When you charge by the hour, the admin around it should not take over your evening. With Tuition Log, you write the information once and reuse it for the learner history, your task list, and the client update. You spend less time rewriting reports or searching through old messages.

Built from real experience

We created Tuition Log because we have managed learners using a mixture of documents, notebooks, messages, and memory. It was developed to solve a genuine everyday problem rather than add another complicated system to your life.

Privacy and control

You decide what information to store. Nothing is automatically sent to clients. Drafts should be reviewed by you before sharing, and you remain in complete control to edit or delete your records at any time.

Our pricing philosophy

Useful admin software should not become another expensive monthly subscription. We made Tuition Log free for up to three active learners so you can see if it works for you. Full Pro access is £25 per year—designed to cost less than one typical lesson or session.
